This picture is hanging to the left on the wall behind the bar. When it is enlarged, the writing above the
woman’s portrait can be read as “Harvard Rye”. According to http://www.awa.dk/whisky/windex.htm,
Harvard Rye was a type of whiskey distilled by the Klein Bros. in Cincinnati, O. The “pre-pro.com” Web
site, “a Web Site Devoted to the Appreciation of  Pre-prohibition Shot Glasses,” indicates that the
Harvard Rye brand was in use between 1899-1918. See
http://www.pre-pro.com/ The distillery was listed in
the Williams' Cincinnati ,  Ohio General & Business Directory as early as 1881. In 1911 it is shown as
“KLEIN BROS., Distillers and Wholesale Liquor Dealers; proprietors [sic] Live Oak Distillery Co., 212”.
