Suicide - An inquest was held this morning on the body of Henry Gardner, a native
of Germany, aged 49 years, found dead at 503 Casacalvo street. Verdict:
"Committed suicide by hanging himself." The poor being, sadly reduced in
circumstances, has of late brooded in a melancholy way over his misfortunes, and
through the agency of a cord, took a leap into the abyss of death. He leaves a wife
and three children in a most destitute condition.
